Vilene Water Soluble Stabilizer is a strong non woven product. It looks and feels like a fabric, but it washes out completely in warm water.
It is stable in all directions which makes it sturdy enough to hold those high stitch count designs without falling apart.
Use Vilene for free standing lace, appliques, patches, delicate designs, delicate fabrics, sheer fabrics. There are unlimited uses for this water soluble stabilizer.
This Vilene is 59 inches wide.

To use Vilene WSS
- Make sure your hoop is set so that the stabilizer and fabric fit snugly before hooping.
- Cut enough stabilizer to cover the hoop and hang over the edge about an inch.
- Lay Vilene WSS and fabric over the outer hoop, place fabric in correct position and hoop the project.
- The Vilene and fabric should be snug inside the hoop. If necessary give the Vilene a tug to take out any wrinkles.
- Embroider your design.
- Unhoop your fabric and cut away any excess Vilene Water Soluble Stabilizer.
- Wash out Vilene thoroughly with warm water. If the fabric can be washed you can throw it in with the next load.
For a stiffer project you can rinse the Vilene for just a couple of minutes, pat out excess water, and shape your lace or fabric.
